Ministries

MCC puts its faith into practice through the ministries we do.  We seek to live our faith by engaging in the work of the gospel and being community together.  Read on to learn more about the ministries we offer and how you may wish to get involved.  To learn more about any of these ministries or to participate please contact Pastor John at mccpastor1836@gmail.com.

Membership

Serving our members, organizing fellowship, coordinating the newsletter, welcoming our visitors, and tracking our data are just some of what this ministry does!  If you have a heart for people and enjoy creating community this ministry is for you!

Stewardship and Finance

Stewardship and Finance is responsible for receiving budget requests from the various committees and writing the church budget. This committee is also responsible for the annual stewardship campaign and is involved in the planning for any fundraising events. This committee also monitors income and expenses to make sure the budget remains in balance.

Property

Property supervises the maintenance and upkeep of our building and grounds. It plans workdays, organizes servicing, and coordinates repairs. It also discusses policies related to the use of the building and directs funds needed for building upkeep or improvements.

Leadership

Some feel called to serve in a leadership capacity, be it as a committee chair or a member of our Board of Directors.  Our Board meets bi-monthly to discuss the business of the church and make decisions.  Our Pastor’s Cabinet meets bi-monthly to discuss matters of pastoral relevance with the minister.  Our Elders provide spiritual leadership for the community while our Diaconate provides leadership through service in worship.

Worship

It takes a lot to make worship happen!  This ministry plans our worship calendar, coordinates the schedule for worship leaders and musicians, ensures supplies are stocked and accounted for, and maintains our sanctuary space.

Missions

Our missions and outreach efforts are one of the most vital ministries of our church.  The missions team partners with agencies and organizations that serve a wide-range of needs both local and global.  We organize special collections, allocate financial support, collect donation items for organizations, and coordinate our church-wide volunteer opportunities.

Children and Families

Serving our kids and families are a vital part of life at MCC.  Our children enjoy a kids bible study program that blends sunday school curriculum with additional activities at home.  MCC kids serve as “junior deacons” during worship learning about the various roles and responsibilities that make worship happen.  We provide optional childcare during worship for parents of young children, as well as special preparation for important rights of passage such as baptism and communion.  All MCC will experience an intergenerational community where they are loved, accepted, and encouraged to grow in faith and friendship!
